  I like the idea of signing the Fijians but the fact is a lot of Poly/Melanesian players are lazy (Inu,Pritchard,Jennings,Mateo(in defence), Hayne can be quite lackadaisical sometimes, Vatuvei, Idris) but then again you get the hardworking players e.g. Civinoceva. And yes I do believe that we should start signing a few players. We should pressure Cronk is signing with us, sign a few low name players to 50k-75k contracts. Do you mean sign Kimmorley as a coach type or a player, because if you sign him as a player it would be a waste he only has 1 year left in him. And sign Piggy? We already have less than stellar hookers why would we need more?

  Generally I'd agree with your sentiment but after our massive recruitment at the back end of last year and the subsequent results I'm not so sure.
  Remember this time last year when we heard about Tahu, Poore and Shackleton?
  What has the net result been? Results which are pretty well equal to what we had achieved this time last year and the news that we are losing Cayless, Inu, Mateo and Keating for next year.

  The only positions we should be recruiting for are hooker (x2) and halfback. Mortimer back to 5/8 in 2011 with a decent half and 2 good dummy halfs we'll be right. Remember Shackleton?? He will probably last more than 15 minutes next year.
  
  Hey - maybe those Serbians are still available??? Their half has played in UK and is around 26 - he could be our next Johnny Kolc??

  I still reckon Reni matua would add some sting as well as that Arana Taumata for a pivot position.Both these players have a game that is very productive in attack and are quite reliable in defence and best of all they are dirt cheap.

  what about getting one back on union and sign some of their young guys. i mean they have done it for years so why dont we. look at all the good players running around for the waratahs,reds,brumbies and if we wanna go even lower how about the sydney comp and players playing for randwick, syd uni etc , they have some strong young players a few good halves(kroll),hard runners and big islanders.Im sure if they were offered some more money and game time in the "nrl" they would change codes.

    Rugby still has about 65 years to be even with RL in the poaching stakes.
    
    But if there's a good fly half out there that could easily step into our 7, it's worth at least talking to them. Of course, once they are playing Super Rugby, they're earning more than we'll be throwing their way...
