Afternoon all,
I took my camcorder down to Ringrose Park yesterday and snagged some unmanned (and dodgy :P) footage as the 12-man Magpies overcame the Balmain Tigers 26-24. Unfortunately seeing as I wasn't manning the camera the fixed view did miss some of the action...also my camera ran out of battery before the came finished so I missed the penalty goal that Ben Roberts kicked to win the game.
Anyway, with those lessons learned, I chucked it all together quickly for anyone interested in watching.
Or hopefully, working as an embedded video below.

Don`t you have a zoom function on your camera? It was like watching ants playing each other. But a brave effort neverthe less. With more experience it could be a worthwhile activity. I ,for one would be interested in see how our 2nd grade go.
Keep at it and thanks.
As I posted in the OP, I wasn't manning the camera. As such I didn't have any manual control during the game I was faced with a dilemma:
a) Try to capture everything with a wide angle, at the expense of zoom or (i.e First half footage)
b) Go for a closer angle and miss essentially half the action. (Second half footage)
It is definitely a WIP that will take some experimentation.
Yep ,understand that. Encourage you to keep experimenting to get as near right as you can.
Thanks for the effort and the blog. Better result ahead.
