Well done to our forwards last night

In the wash up we were beaten by the better team, probably the best team in the competition  and definitely one of the best teams in the last 20 years IMO.

Having said that I thought there wasn't much between the two teams.

Our first half was all about heart and determination and I thought we stood tall - handling errors let us down.

Perdonally I thought we matched their pack, and you can make an argument that our forward edged out theirs and from a club development point of view I found this extremely pleasing.

We have quite a young team,we are learning on the job what it takes to beat the best and some losses are part of that.

I'm very encouraged by what I saw last night because we were physically up to it which has been our weekness for a long long time.... soft underbelly and Parra were always in the same sentence.

So whilst a lot of fans are upset and hating on the coach and certain players I'm really pleased we lost the way we did and weren't bullied and bashed out of the contest.

Go Parra !

  • Bottom line we got done.!! If we don't beat the Raiders next week it won't look good and there maybe a few question marks....

  • 100 percent agree Embers . Our players played physical and smart enough to keep big Wariah Hargreaves , Teddy and just about every Rooster player except for Morrises and the halves quiet . ..........Due to Parra's efforts the Roosters players did not have many outstanding individual performances like they usually do ....  The result came largely down to luck for Roosters although no one can deny their usual brllliant goal line defence once again had the desired effect of keeping points down ....                ....

Yes like you I am very proud of Parra for the effort and skill they put into the game  . The eels should benefit from the experience and feel more confident than ever from last nights game . They showed last night that they are a true contender  for the grand final  . Bring on the Canberra game next week !!!  ...    Go Parra !!!!
