It shows just how important Beau Scott has become to this team. He was injured against the Tigers, Titans, and Broncos and we physically couldn't match the opposition. We dropped off tackles and never really looked in the contest in any of these matches. All were won comfortably by the opposing team. Scott's leadership in the forwards is clearly the key to us being able to get into the grind and muscle our way to victory.
What does that say about us? That we can only compete when he's in the team? I know he's our captain with Foran gone but I don't like being so dependent on one player, particularly one who is aging and a bit more injury prone. Everyone says we need to chase a new halfback, which is true, but I think we could do with one more experienced leader in our forward pack. Because without Scott and Degois, we are pretty much leaderless in the forwards.

He's been simply outstanding, buy of the year for any club for mine and should be a shoe in for the Thornett medal imo
Tepai Moeroa worries me a little. There was a lot of expectation placed on the young man, Australian schoolboys star, emerging blues , could be Olympian, etc. At the moment, I'm seeing a certain predictability to his play tempered by a 'lack of aggression' . Physically, he's big enough, but doesn't really dominate or appear to get revved up much. He appears at this stage more of workhorse type player. Time will tell & I haven't given up yet, there's just a few 'buts' & question marks. We're also a bit short of serious horsepower upfront imo, esp prop.
Mau & Edwards, punch above their weight, give plenty & occasionally threaten the line & have some creativity & ball playing skills with good offloads.
PS: HOE & TOE, lol.
one thing i agree with is how bloody good is hell on wheels.
Just highlites the age old Parra roblem "we have no on-field leadership"
