Vision & a Plan time to execute.

Saw this with the Lakers and many of the issues they have are very similar to what Parra are dealing with.

Man U much the same until the above mentioned is executed and you have the best in place off the park then we'll start to see real tangible results on it.

Alot has been put on JRs plate which just isn't realistic without the correct supporting people and a plan in place behind him. This is so key.

Back to the Lakers and there new owner he's all about spending money in the key spots especially infrastructure which is key for onfield success.

Theres lessons to be learned here.

  • I think it starts with MON tbh. He just seems weak to me. I feel we need a strong leader in our football department that has some pull in the media and at NRL head office. Someone that is ruthless and moves heaven and hell to get what he wants. Honestly las much as Gus is a polarising figure, when he talks people listen. I reckon Gus has made more trades in 2 years than we've made in 10. Any player that he sees on the market that is better than he already has he buys them than trades players out, he's constantly improving his squad. Having a mate that is a player manager, apparently we take forever to negotiate with.

  • The last minute of that video has been - and from the outside looks to still be - the exact issue Eels need to address. Too many appointments made for the wrong reasons. Too many 'jobs for the boys'.
I have mentioned before this is not a way towards success. They need to hire the best available candidates to carry out the work towards achieving 'the vision'.
    Way too many 'hangers on'.

  • It actually starts with our chairman and CEO they need to start making some tough calls and going out and getting the best available that's where it really starts.

MoN has no oversight of which direction the club goes and the longer the above mentioned sit back looking at the under performance then we are still at the crossroads.

MoN is allowed and his performance is accepted because those above are either 2 scared to make hard calls or are just out of there depth themselves around having full control of a footy club.

See this guy who owns the Lakers now is reknown for going out and getting the best people to run the front office. He took over the LA Dodgers 12 years ago and turned them into World Series champions when no one else could purely because he made the hard calls that needed to be made.

The Lakers were a family run club and they kept everything in-house and didn't invest in the areas that mattered when the rest of the nba did.Kobe Bryant god rest his soul did absolutely nothing in his last 5 years with the team LBJ is heading in the same direction because of what's happening in the front office. You can best believe now the new ownerships outlook, sustainability will be the mantra no stone unturned and they'll lock Doncic up for life he'll retire a Laker under different circumstances than what Kobe and LBJ finish/ed there careers.

    • Love the nba lol, curry fan tho 😂

  • Matt Beach was appointed Chairman and since then has done what exactly? Given his silence and zero reforms it would seem he approves of the current course we're on. No finals in 3 years, yep no need to make any changes. Steady as she goes. 👍🏻

    • If change is to happen, Ryles is the catalyst. He is the one that needs to say he needs better people. What they gonna do sack Ryles to keep MON?

"I think if a club is going to chase Cobbo need a really good culture/coach maybe a Wayne Bennett type to keep his mind in the game. Would be a disaster for us "
