Vision & a Plan time to execute.

Saw this with the Lakers and many of the issues they have are very similar to what Parra are dealing with.

Man U much the same until the above mentioned is executed and you have the best in place off the park then we'll start to see real tangible results on it.

Alot has been put on JRs plate which just isn't realistic without the correct supporting people and a plan in place behind him. This is so key.

Back to the Lakers and there new owner he's all about spending money in the key spots especially infrastructure which is key for onfield success.

Theres lessons to be learned here.

          • Found this for our Pathways / Juniors - Ben Rogers is in charge of our Top 30 Recruitment and Retention. As far as scouts are concerned, that's an interesting question, once upon a time we had Noel Cleal as our head scout, not sure if their job title has been changed to Recruitment Managers. "It would appear that it has"

Yes, the Parramatta Eels NRL club has a dedicated recruitment and scouting department. Specifically, they have a Pathways Recruitment Manager, currently held by Isaac DeGois, who focuses on identifying and attracting young talent to the club. Additionally, Anthony Field serves as the Recruitment & Retention Manager, playing a crucial role in developing the club's systems and pathways for NRL success.

            Here's a more detailed breakdown:
            • Pathways Recruitment Manager:
Isaac DeGois, a former Eels hooker, is responsible for identifying and attracting young players to the club's pathways program.

            • Recruitment & Retention Manager:
Anthony Field is the key figure in managing the recruitment and retention of players, focusing on building strong systems and pathways for young players to progress into the NRL.

            • Player Roster Management Committee:
The club also has a Player Roster Management Committee to develop a more sophisticated approach to managing both NRL and development squads.

      • Surely we have one and as Blue Eel showed below it seems like we do.

        • We have it how good is it vs the rest of the nrl ? what's the transference rate of average good or elite talent v what's coming through is the question I move to now we have it.

Is getting talent through the pathway a pass mark or does the results of the given teams the talents moving into count for more.See for me it's a continued evaluation of questions until we get the desired result out the other end.

Getting to FG is bar one of the pass marks not the pathways are successful nothing to see here.

I'd be looking at that transference and team results matter off the given description by BE.

Havent touched on retention either that's another issue of many I see.

          • Yeah fair,

          • Spot on Coryn, to me it appears we are able to spot and sign talent at pathways levels to some degree. Are we at the top of our game in this area, it would appear possible not if recent Junior rep positions are taken into account.

When we get pathways talent coming through and identified real future first graders on the fringe, we have an enormous problem in showing those players they have a future at the Eels.

This same problem exists showing NRL elite players off contract that they have a future at the Eels, and when recruiting from other clubs the same problem.

We must find out within the club why this is happening, how to fix it. That may involve better training for Mark O'Neil and co, it may involve upgrading our negotiators and closers. It may involve presenting the club as a destination club and the nuances that that involves.

'I feel it's a mixture of all those, but one thing is certain. Ryles cannot move us up the competition ladder with the current playing roster and the Eels inability to recruit real in demand talent is hampering the rebuild in key areas.

  • There's so many different ways you can attract top flight talent without paying overs you just have to think outside the box.

You can have links to private schools to educate a players siblings or child , facilitating job opportunities for relatives, real estate opportunities and financial advise .

But what Parramatta should be looking at to make the club more attractive is cater for players wives and girlfriends .

Prominent women at the club could foster an environment where players wives and girlfriends at other clubs are envious of the perks afforded to the Eels players partners.

Using corporate partners allow the women as a group to attend movie premieres, fashion shows , regular day spas, balls , high profile horse racing events all under a carefully put together social media account designed to create jealousy.

Foster great relationships with the women involved with discounted clothing and accessories, afford them child care facilities for free.

Overseas trips and weekends away all outside the cap .

Basically we want the players partners demand they sign with the Eels.

If we can't convince top players to sign we'll convince their partners.
