So tonight on NRL 360 the cast of noted NRL reporters discussed the Pangai Jnr problem at the Broncos. They virtually insinuated that Pangai Jnr after receving his show cause notice and facing the probability of being sacked went to the NRL and alleged that his under the table payments of $100,000 for three years has not been forthcomming from an unregistred third party agreement. Thats right $300'000 in not declared salary cap breaching, the result. The Broncos have backed down and will now not sack Pangai Jnr but keep him on the books. Sound like Blackmail anybody. Anyway good old "Buzz" employed by News Corp sitting on the 360 panel puts his two bobs worth in declaring " oh its just a mix up or something isnt it". I dont know what the NRL are actually doing about it, but i hope this isnt swept under the carpet again similar to their last suspected breach when Andrew Gee left the club literally during a midnight dash just as the NRL wanted to interview him a few years back. Are News Corp, being the major shareholder of the Broncos and one of the games biggest stakeholders perhaps using their influence to sweep this under the carpet.

I didn’t see it last night but when Hooper was breaking this last week Rothfield was more incensed that TPJ would somehow criticise the Broncos than actually discuss the allegation of non-registered 3rd party payment. It was Kent who repeatedly outlined to the panel this issue isn’t the cash per se but the alleged method of payment (or non-payment in this case). The 2 Broncos apologists (Iken and Rothfield) couldnt get away from the issue that how dear TPJ question the Broncos.
If Rothfield is still trying to deflect, then that to me seems like a very deliberate strategy. Let’s see if V'Landy's has bigger balls than Greenbug.
I watched a few minutes of 100% Footy last night and V'Landys didn't hide the fact that the Broncos are important to get the television deals across the line.
There is no way Brisbane Broncos will be held accountable for anything.
