  I cannot see these 2 players helping our cause,Charlie Webb has no heart and Maitua really hadn't done much since 2005,we supposedly have a no dickhead policy any way,lets raid other clubs junior ranks and sign some players for the future.We should start doing to other clubs what they have been doing to us for for years.wouldn't mind Shaun Johnson from the Warriors or the kid that play five eighth for the Bulldogs

  Whilst it may be worrying that no one seems to want to come to the Eels, I actually think that we simply will not pay more than a player is worth. To many times we've been burnt paying overs and were not doing it again. Webb has shown very little for a long time and Reni will have been out of the game for 2 years. If we can't get then cheaply then let them go elsewhere. The fact that we kept Horo on less money than elsewhere was offered - and for three years tells me that players do want to be there.
  
  The fact is, parra are looking for cheap depth players whilst leaving a tidy sumnon the kitty for the key position of playmaker/s.
  
  Good strategy in my opinion.

  Exactly Tony, if we never had Matuia in the first place , how could we lose him!
  
  Just like we lost Cooper Cronk, Taniela Tuiaki, Blake Ferguson, Matty Orford, Piggy Riddell, Wally Lewis and Gene Miles ......... the list of players we have supposedly lost this year goes on, looking at the list though we had a great team!

  webbs only concern is the length of the deal. im sure its all being negotiated and something will work itself out.
  
  if parra tabled a 2 year offer then changed it to a 1 year deal there would be a good reason for it.
