J.MALONEY
T.WILLIAMS
T.HODKINSON
F.MATEO
other possible mentions could be J.Mannah, K. Keating. Really, how did we let not one, but two current 1st grade halves slip through our fingers? especially maloney.....

The players that we have let go have obviously seen a better opportunity elsewhere, or we just couldn't afford to keep them.
That's the NRL for you, and we as the fans have to live with the decisions that are made.
- Mateo is a 50/50 call. I will get back to you next year on that one. I am concerned
- Williams Again cannot keep everyone. I am happy with Burt & Grothe & when we let Williams go I was happy with Inu. Now I am glad Inu is gone. Again no point matching the money Manly threw at Williams.
- Maloney & Hopkinson. Absolute disarter decisions. This goes to the very heart of our problems & this is the area we need to fix.
You cannot keep everyone. We need to make better decisions.
We need strategies in place to cover for weeker positions where we see no juniors coming through & we need mentors in place to develop players. I dont see the value in bringing in Webb. We should've brought in a good young prop & have Mannah, Poore & Moi mentor this young prop. Bringing in Webb means no young prop will want to come to Parra with 4 experienced props in front of him. This is the type of startegy & planning capabilities that we are very much missing.
For example - Who is our next generation Centers. If Tahu is off contract end of 2011 & Ready 2012. What is a recruitment plan? Is Johno capable of stepping up. Is the form of Tahu & Readdy worthy of extensions? If yes no need to recruit. However if we have centre concerns we need to see who is on the market For example If Morris from the dogs comes of contract in 2011 & we don't want to renew Tahu's contract & we don't believe Johno is ready for first grade in 2011, then we should go all out to get Morris. This is a strategy. You need to obviously work through the $'s, but this is what should be done for every position.
This is the part that kills me with Parra. We have been Very, Very poor in this area for 20 years.
