The Gold Coast Titans have been fined $300,000 and docked four competition points for the 2015 season following salary cap violations.
ABC Grandstand broke the news on Twitter:
The Gold Coast Titans have been fined $300,000 and docked four #NRL competition points for salary cap breaches.
However, $75,000 of the fine and the four point penalty have been suspended as the Titans self-reported the breach.
The penalties come after the current Titans management unearthed documentation stating that Scott Prince had been paid substantially more than what his contract stated.
The Roosters, Tigers, Sea Eagles and Knights were issued fines totalling $90,000 for less serious breaches according to an NRL statement.
The Brisbane Broncos were found to have no case to answer with one NRL official saying that investigation was hindered by the fact that many of Brisbane's former administrators have left the game.

Sharks are still spooners, but the Raiders move up a place and the Titans are now 15th.
How does that work? The points penalty is suspended and it would've been for the 2015 season anyway.
Im wont laugh at them because i dont know how we go with out our man to show us how to win
Can you update the title of this to point out that the points deduction is suspended?
Wait, so a club can potentially pay a player under the table then a few years later self report it under new management and get a fine and no points deducted (just suspended)?
Get on the phone to Foran and DCE now! Offer either $900k... with another 500k under the table.
