Titans call on NRL to investigate former recruitment boss image

Allegations of internal sabotage have erupted on the Gold Coast, with the club reportedly demanding the NRL investigate former recruitment chief Ezra Howe's dealings with the Perth Bears.

Howe is accused of compiling a player wish list on his work laptop, including captain Tino Fa'asuamaleaui, and encouraging agents to delay Titans contract talks.

The News Corp report references emails which allegedly show Howe forwarding confidential Gold Coast correspondence and shifting a Bears email from his club account to a personal address.

  • WTF is Tobey Lewis.

  • thats pretty low. I mean, do it to the storm, not the bloody Titans.
    How low can you go

    • He created a list of players to target while being the list manager of the Titans - this will get ugly and no comment from the NRL.

  • If true this is a frigin low blow; the NRL should ensure that the Titans are strong before PNG / Perth etc. Rugby league is predominanly played in NSW/ QLD and NZ. The titans could be a powerhouse with the right backing.

Its also interesting that Meninga (formerly involved with Titans) is Bears frontman and proven poor NRL coach.

    • Agree Mitchy, has he broken his employment contract with the Titans?

Have the Bears broken any NRL rules? Does the matter only involve the Titans and the former recruitment manager? Or do both clubs and NRL mediate this situation,

  • Who is Tobey Lewis ?

    • Sportsnews.com

  • Ezra Howe has spoken to 9 Titans players, Meninga is denying any knowledge of it. The NRL will sweep this under the carpet because apparently Howe was not "officially" employed by Perth at the time. This will be a matter between the Titans and Howe. Hannah has already sacked a few in the football department, Monaghan and Leniham, has employed Brian McDermott. Tino and Campbell will not be going to Perth.
