Time for the Truth from the Club

This is another Hayne themed blog, but it is one that has started to concern me about the club. As time goes on we are starting to hear and read conflicting statements and timelines are looking odd. When did the club really know what Hayne was thinking? Consider his resting during and after origin. Was this a physical rest or were they taking care of the mind that they knew was jaded with the game? How long had the entourage of Knowles and documentary crew been in the works? There has been an odd calmness and support offered by the club that reeks of a period of preparedness. We had been looking at signing players such as Watmough when it was believed that no salary cap space could be found.Does anyone here believe that the club only knew this week? Do they have to answer to the fans concerning this? Nb, I'm not questioning my support of the club, but things aren't adding up.

  • We will probably never know, the same as the question, Were the club happy for him to leave (encouraged him), taking his influence with him? At least long enough to see whether they could get certain things done, that Hayne may have impeded.
  • The more you look at plans surrounding his move the more it becomes obvious that they have not been organised in a couple of days. Scott Seward has even sounded pleased about website traffic. We may not ever be told the truth but you can almost guarantee that we haven't been told the truth up to now.
  • Bert Kennys blog scooping the NFL move wasn't the only mention of it. The Triple M rumour mill also mentioned it many weeks ago.

Participated in two training sessions and made inquiries into pathways for the NFL. The sessions were before the World Cup and this article was written July 6.

There was more than just bert kennys and triple m mentioning it. We all just didn't believe it

  • Does it really matter if the club knew
  • What do you guys expect?...you ask for no leaks in regards to what happens behind closed doors, and when you don't get them you jump up and down. Did the club know about this before the general public, of course they did, they would of needed time to prepare for the backlash, and stem the bleeding. I think if I had to rate Parramatta's response to this, I will have to give them an A +. In my opinion they handled it with class.
    • Your number 1 player is leaving, give the fans some closure by giving them an opportunity to say goodbye?
    • But maybe, they just didn't want the media circus, while they were pushing for a semifinal spot at the back end of the year. Can you imagine the circus, at every press conference at the end of each game, during their training sessions, I know it's a hard pill to swallow, but I truly think they did the right thing.
    • With Fui fui, I do have to agree. I think we should of been able to send him off better. But that was the coaches call, so we can't really double guess him on that. But with hayne I really do believe they did the right thing and waited till the end of the season.

This blog made first mention of Hayne's desire to play NFL. This was a 'leak' and no one on this forum batted an eyelid and completely disregarded it.

"The defensive issue is in the halves, Pezet was a turnstyle in that period and our defence misshapen, it was only after Haas went off that we regained any rythm.....Moses was also trying to be everywhere and ended up nowhere, clutching air a lot.…"
