On Triple M Sydney's The Grill Team today, Tim Sheens joined the boys to discuss Jarryd Hayne leaving the NRL, his chances in the NFL and the young blood coming into the Kangaroos squad ahead of the Four Nations.
"You're one of the most forward thinking coaches in rugby league history, you've taken a lot of the training methods that were used by American Football…what do you think mate, do you think he'll crack it?" asked Matty.
"Look I hope he does in this respect…it's a big step and I like Jarryd, he's a talent it will be nice to see him do it but it's going to be very difficult Matty. Look even the little things like the way he carries the ball…he carries the ball down in one hand when he runs. Well in America you've got to tuck it under your arm and run in a different way or they'll strip the ball off you," explained Sheens.
"If Jarryd just thinks he's going to play as a punt returner, that's not going to happen. They won't sign a guy for punt return, the punt return guy is just generally a wide receiver or a running back…you've got to have two or three strings to your bow and of course you've got to learn two or three playbooks."
"Sheensy, I know he's chasing his dream, do you sort of get the feeling that Jarryd felt like he just needed a break from rugby league?" asked Matty.
"Who knows…he's always got the fall-back of coming back to rugby league…I don't think it's that big a risk in that regard, I think he's going to challenge himself, if it doesn't work out no one over here is going to bag him for it, he's going to come back and be welcomed back."

Lol. I'm interested in whether Moylan will play FB and Inglis moving to centre because that is where we are weak.
