"Hey mate I don't think I've gathered your opinion on Lincoln? Sometimes I think we overlook that we have the schoolboys 7 here. In your opinion was he deserving of that appointment? Or was it more there wasn't much competition for the jersey?

The Courier-Mail can reveal Thurston is on a collision course with Cowboys medicos, who have urged the Maroons maestro to rest for another week in the countdown to Origin II on Wednesday week.
But barring a last-minute mishap, Thurston will run out against Parramatta tonight at TIO Stadium in what would be his first game for North Queensland in 63 days.
Thurston’s insistence on playing against the Eels underlines his desire to get some match fitness in his bid to rescue the Maroons and keep the Origin series alive at Sydney’s ANZ Stadium.
Thurston is set to play his first game for North Queensland in 63 days.
The Cowboys playmaker travelled to the Top End with his teammates and took part in North Queensland’s captain’s run yesterday.
Cowboys coach Paul Green will see how Thurston pulls up Saturday morning before making a final decision, but if the Maroons ace gets his way, he will face the Eels in jumper No. 19.
Thurston hasn’t played for the Cowboys since injuring his calf against the Wests Tigers on April 8. He overcame the injury in time to represent Australia in the Anzac Test, only to damage his rotator cuff, which ultimately sidelined Thurston for Queensland’s crushing 28-4 loss in Origin I.
STAYING: No quick exit for Hunt
REPORT: “Referee Smith did a good job”
While Thurston is confident, Cowboys doctors are urging caution. North Queensland’s high-performance unit would prefer to see Thurston sit out another seven days, but the veteran of 36 Origin matches insists he is 100 per cent fit.
The return of Thurston is a huge fillip not only for the Cowboys, who are seventh, but the Maroons, who sorely missed his leadership and playmaking brilliance in their Game One horror show.
Queensland coach Kevin Walters says he expects Thurston to take on the Eels. Walters named Thurston in the No. 18 jumper for Origin I, but plans to pencil him in the No. 6 guernsey ahead of Anthony Milford for the return bout.
Thurston is guaranteed a start in Origin II.
“I will probably pick John at six but I need to talk to the selectors first,” Walters said.
“My information is that Thurston will play. I spoke to Johnno and he told me he was hopeful of playing against the Eels.
“It was a four-to-six week injury and six weeks will be the Sunday before Origin II, so I’m confident he will be available this time.
“It’s important for us that he has a game in Darwin.”
Cowboys rookie Kyle Laybutt was named at five-eighth and will start alongside Michael Morgan in the halves tonight if Thurston is a late scratching.
“Kyle has been going well for the Blackhawks (in the Intrust Super Cup),” Morgan said.
“He doesn’t look like a big guy but he’s not afraid to put his body on the line. I don’t know if ‘JT’ (Thurston) will be OK but if not, Kyle will make the most of his opportunity.”
and then you've got the poor teams that they have the best game of the season against us
x2
I hope he plays and we run every forward over the top of him and end his night early and misses game 2 of Origin. It would be good if he makes it back for game 3 though. He is a champion, just sick of the guy winning Origin!
Brett i just got a few new albums as part of my journey back to the church.
Let me touch him was one of my favourites Snake until I grew up and left the life of an altar boy behind.
