  • Would Hayne not have been a immortal if he stayed?
  • Of course he would. Most likely would have won 1 or 2 mire dally ms
  • Better player: Hayne
    More important: Thurston
  • Thurston
  • Hayne for me.

Thurston has always been surrounded by star Origin and test players but is yet to deliver a premiership.

Put him in Parra 2012,13 and see how good he would be.

    • lol... got that premiership now

  • They're both brillant with great footy nous, but we're not comparing apples for apples here.

Hayne is superman like, with the edge in individual freakish genius, brilliance, speed, power, explosiveness and raw talent.

Thurston is a high energy 80-minute General, with the edge in terms of team related, inspired play. He sets up tries, builds pressure on opposition teams with his kicking game, kicks goals, is the link man in most things the Cowboys do & reads the play of both teams well consistently.

This difference is exclamated by the way Thurston communicates on-field geeing up his team-mates (or the ref) & seems to be everywhere on the field whether the Cowboys have the ball or not. Hayne communicates far more enigmatically and can drift in and out of the game, then producing a breathtaking individual piece of brillance.

I want both in my team.
    • If Thurston is an 80-minute player how come people complain about the Cowboys being robbed in the past 2 finals series by only 1 bad refereeing decision? Surely if he was an 80-minute player 1 bad ref decision wouldn't affect the outcome of the game that much?

Sure he's a great player and there's no one in the game that's better and he'll probably go down as one of the best but for a few years now JT plays 20 maybe 25 minutes a game. He stepped up in the Melbourne game and they didn't have a chance.
  • I agree with that
  • What kind of shit are we talking though?
