As the days have gone by,many people have claimed we are no longer in the running to sign Thurston. Though on a previous blog I said we wouldn't be signing Isaac Luke, I still feel we're in with a chance for JT. Today, Fox Sports released an article saying that JT is no longer going to be captain for the Cowgirls, with Brent Tate the most likely replacement. However, even if JT saw this coming (after his incident in Brisbane), maybe that will be enough for him to leave the club. Maybe it is still possible for him to join the eels. Keep believing, u never know. Besides, he's much better than Orford, and if we don't get him, we have to get Cronk. Cmon eels. Show support for sigining Thurston.

Hope I'm wrong and we pull the coup of our club history - would Love it. JT's a fierce passionate on-field competitor that can make things happen and would bring a dynamic on-field force that we really need. The concerns he's not a fit for us and/or would undermine our culture with his behaviour, I think, are biased because we might be a good fit for him and bring out the best in him.
