Three Sydney clubs circle Radley

Depending on Politis' policy on cocaine and drugs in general, Radley could be on the market. Question is, would look at him.

2x premiership winner, edge and middle, Ryles connection, experienced.

  • Shame it wasn't Whyte or Toia involved in the scandal, then matching other club offers wouldn't worry me as much, but as good as Radley is he will attract big money from some stupid club, who will ignore his disciplinary issues and HIA.

If ryles can get a 1 year with option type deal I would love him in blue and gold but not at the price other clubs will throw his way.

  • No way should we go after Radley. He is a massive suspension risk and let's face it, is a couple of head knocks away from medical retirement for his concussion issues. That is without even considering the current allegations.  Although I will agree JAC has been great for us after the latter similar issue.

    • Chammas now saying Radley has been told to look at other nrl clubs or super league. Sounds like to me they just want to move his contract on to get off his money 😂

  • Radley is only 27, last 4 seasons he has played - 19 games, 21 games, 23 games and 20 games this year. Has played a lot of second row at Easts this year as well.

I think it's a no brainer, quality player, without doubt. He dosnt miss as many games as people are thinking.

    • He is worth the risk at the right price but what will saints, titans, tigers and Gus at the doggies offer him.  Some clubs will throw ridiculous money at him despite the risks. You say he played 20games but he has had plenty of HIAs he passed.

Just a couple months ago there were reports he was set to take at least a month off footy after undergoing his 5th HIA of the year in Round 14 (via SMH).  In late March I found a story saying it was his sixth failed HIA in the last three seasons.  Even if he is passing the HiA test you are losing a highly paid player at what could be key parts of the game.  Then eventually the NRL will step in mandate set stand down periods for players with history like him.  Each concussion the stand down will get gradually longer and longer till he medically retires.

  • Hope he joins south's just to piss off the roosters

  • I'd take him for sure

    • I think most agree he makes the team better but with concerns over HIA and likehood of a month or more sit out period after his next failed HIA is he worth paying what teams like Saints, tigers and dogs will pay to drive up his price.

  • We should be one of them, he would be the difference. Don't carry on about his injuries he contract would be in line with it. The young kids would go to another level with him beside them.
