How much longer is our apparel partnership with macron?

I'm seeing a lot more than normal for this time of year extra discounts on Eels merchandise snd wondering could it be because we have a new apparel partnership next year or could it just be because we have new jerseys designs and merch coming out next year

  • Hope they stick with the all yellow away kit, it really stood out and was a marked improvement on the previous white. The blue home jerseys are way too dark and get even darker when they get wet. Wasn't there talk that clubs would be allowed to put players' names on the back of jerseys from next year?

  • I think Macron does finish this year. Don't quote me on that but I recall hearing something about it a while ago.
BTW I hate the all yellow uniform.  At least wear blue shorts and socks. We're not the Parra Bananas.

    • I wasn't a fan of the all-gold at the start of the year, as you say - I thought it needed blue shorts and socks. But I must admit it grew on me as the season went on.

      • The yellow kit's nothing new. It was even used to advertise cigarettes back in the 70s. (It's the Emperor himself.)13712732061?profile=RESIZE_584x

        • Haha. I'm not sure that's a positive .lol

    • It's end of 2026

    • 💯. It looked shit in all yellow. Break it up with blue shorts and socks

  • The current Macron contract expires this year. No word if the club is moving to a new supplier, or going to renew with Macron for 2026 and beyond, but as the club is marketing it as 'Macron teamwear sale', I'd say there are better than average odds that the club is changing suppliers. Although - I notice that it is only ther home jersey that ios on sale. The gold away jersey is still at fuill price. Possibly it is just a change of the home jersey as it has had it's two year stint and Macron are continuing as the apparel sponsor.

I mentioned in a previous post, the club recently signed a deal with Oxen Sport to supply footwear to the pathways teams. Not sure if that was essentially a precursor to Oxen taking over from Macron to supply apparel at the NRL level. Oxen appear to supply many of the UK Super League teams.

    • I can ask regarding the manufacturer for 2026. I believe Macron is continuing however I was told there would be a new home jersey next year due to it being the 40 year anniversary of the 1986 premiership.

      • Pretty sad when we need to 'celebrate' the 40 year anniversary since our last title. We're fast geting into North Sydney territory!

"The league needs to come down heavier for dangerous play. The players will soon learn that it's not worth the risk. Yes we all want to see a good tough game of RL, but not if it impacts players longterm health."
