This is the X-factor player, we should be going after.

He was suspended from the Test against the All Blacks in Auckland this saturday for drinking alchol after the "bewitching hour".

I have no idea what his contractual obligations are but he is 29 years old, would have a good 3/4 years in him and is the closest we are ever going to see something like Ramrada.

Sivo is not in the same class and the opportunity is maybe to quietly see if anyone is interested in him if we established a positive contract with Koroibete.

He is a proven Rugby League player having a seasons record tries scored in 2015 when playing with the Storm.

Regardless of our ability to get him, these are the type of players we need to chase if we want X factor.....they certianly don't grow on tree's inside our competetion.

Marika Koroibete (born 26 July 1992) is a dual-code international rugby league and rugby union footballer. He has been capped for Australia's national rugby union team, and plays as a winger for the Melbourne Rebels in Super Rugby. Koroibete previously played rugby league for the Melbourne Storm and Wests Tigers in the National Rugby League, and was a member of the Fiji national rugby league team.

Early years[edit]

Born in Naraiyawa, Fiji, Koroibete grew up on a remote family farm.[4] Koroibete started his career playing for Nasinu Secondary School in rugby union in Fiji.

After a short stint in junior rugby league , Koroibete signed a 3-year contract with the Wests Tigers to play in Australia, initially in the Toyota Cup national under-20 competition. He was signed after being spotted playing for the Fiji Under 19s in a match against Australian-born Fijian players.[4] Koroibete had also been considering pursuing a career in sprinting, having run 100 metres in 10.75 seconds.

He played for the Tigers' Toyota Cup team in 2011 and 2012, scoring 22 tries in 26 games.[5] He scored two tries as the team won the 2012 Grand Final.[6] 2012 Toyota Cup coach Todd Payten said, "The most exciting part with Marika is that we're only really scratching the surface. He's got a couple of little issues and once we iron them out, he's certainly going to be a crowd pleaser."[4]

  • We would be competing with overseas rugby union dollars for his signature. I know who would be willing to spend the most and it wouldn’t be us.

    • He would be aware of that, but I am not sure how much is around at the moment. I can't imagine the Australian Rugby Union would be "flush" at the moment and this guy is Fijian.....there maybe a lot of reasons why he would like to stay close to home, especially if ARU are giving him the shits.

I am using this more as an example and it is really a "pluck" on my part, but we are talking about x factor players and as I said you can't pick them of the tree's.

Finally I am an optimist and my reaction to negativity is tell me how to do it, not why we can't. If it can't be done then you move on and try for the next item you think can't be done.
