Only 3 games into his eels career, plenty of ups and downs from Pezet but for the most part he seems a solid young half. His defence needs a lot of work but not sure moving to Brisbane and facing all of that pressure is going to help him. Looks like…

I can't see Rodwell making the top 17 to start the year in front of:
Paulo, RCG, Brown, Papilii, Matterson, Niukore, Lane, Kaufusi
In front of Kaufusi imo
Still a bench spot there up for grabs. Plus if Rodwell is going better than papali or Nuikore , he should get first crack because they are leaving.

Mate, 5 are starters and 3 will be bench spots, I'd give him a run ahead of Kaufusi, otherwise injuries will see him get his shot.
Cartwright as well. Injuries will be the only way Rodwell makes the 17 in round 1
Would be interesting to see who plays 14.
I'm going to reserve all judgements until I see him perform in the NRL, over a bit of time. The proof will be in the pudding; and the NRL is one tough arena. IMO, with Kaufusi and Ice going it's probably a good idea to give him some time in the middle rotation off the bench, even if it's limited time, to see how he goes.
