1. The knights had won their last two matches and been unlucky in a few others preceding that
2. They had the State of Origin player of the series in Dane Gagai
3. They had been bolstered by news of takeover by Wests Leagues
4. They were desperate to avoid three wooden spoons in a row
And what did we do?
1. Take them to be easy beats
2. Allow a crucial member of the team to take a holiday, go overseas, get married, have a kava party and arrive back just a day before the match
3. Opt for a newbie (Smith) instead of an experienced fullback (Hoffman)...and worse if the incumbent (French) was fully recovered as I suspect he was. The last time I recall we did this was leaving out Norman ("for precautionary reasons") and the Titans gave us a hiding
C'mon guys, enough of this complacency, let's get back to the grind, treat each game as if our season depends on it, and kick some butt. Time to get serious

I can usually tell how Parra will go during the first set - last night you just felt this doesn't look good.
The speed at which they did things, the lack of urgency and intensity was there for all to see. Funnily BA said during the presser that he didn't pick up on any complacency in the warm up (he should've) - well IMO they took that warm up attitude onto the field against a fired up Knights side.
I really thought this team was different, with BA, Moses & Brown leading but same ol parra crap came out last night & disappointed us all.
What needs to change to stop this complacently & create a professional, hard edge, win at all costs attitude?
Also is corey our new Hayne? He didn't look bothered last night, which is disppointing for such a big game.
