For the Eels, no.
Idris will stay at Penrith until at least the end of his current contract.
I heard Lafai was on the nose at the Bulldogs but maybe that was only if they were after Hoppa.
This Lafai saga is a funny one.
There are some among the Dogs camp that would welcome a move for him to allow the likes of McInally or Phillips to move into the first-grade side full-time, but there are others - like Dessie himself - that are playing hardball and want to retain him.
Or so it seems that way.
Interesting to see how this one pans out.
He'll have some decent opportunity either at centre or the back-row for Penrith, especially with the players they have departing/retiring.
We can use the extra money to do the same for any of our off-contract players.
That's just the thing, no-one knows.
Depends which faction of the Dogs board/staff wins out and gets their way.
Yeah, all clubs are usually starting up the first week of November, but some do so beforehand.
I suspect that if this well and truly has any legs at all, we'll know more once the dust around the Hopoate saga is settled.
Robbo as good as gone - if he really wanted to stay at Parra he would've signed ages ago.
