  • Can anyone give us a quick breakdown of his leaving Parra part for those who can’t listen right now ?

  • TL:DR

    - Left due to homesickness as well as really disliking professional rugby league. Had no intentions to return to professional rugby league. Had been in Sydney since being a teenager in Parra's development system.

    - Didn't think he was an important member of the team. Thought they'd easily fill his position.

    - He was 22 at the time, thought he'd given it a good crack but missed home.

    - Only took up the contract in St Helens when his uncle got a call from their coach. Jamie took up the option because he was short on money.

  • Jamie Liar missed his mates at Wee Waa and pig shooting, that is why he flew 12000 miles to north of England where I am sure he did a lot of pig shooting there. It was nothing to do with the fact thatManly were trying to poach him from Parra.
  • Is he still trying to sell us on this?

Noel Cleal has already revealed he poached him to get him over to Manly. Jamie is best mates with Cleals son Gareth.

They failed to realise that Parra wouldnt back down on him playing for another NRL club whilst he was under contract.
  • So the story that Brian Smith made bimbo play after his girlfriend miscarriaged is not true?.

    • Hence why I asked . Brian Smith May be a hard marking coach , but I’ve met the guy twice in person and he is a very nice man who is nothing more than a very smart and passionate rugby league brain , and also talks about players with nothing but enthusiasm and respect  . Even Hayne , he is massive Hayne fan , he said he was so ill disciplined there was no way he could play him yet .

He is not the kind of man who’d pull a stunt so spiteful when someone has just gone through something as horrible as that .

Would he text players to keep them in line and focused , I’d say yes .

Is he the type of man that’d put the game before a players well being , not on your life .

If there was an ounce of truth to that rubbish , do you think Hindy , Burt , Cayless etc would speak so highly of Smith ?  Do you think the NRL would’ve stepped in and rubbed smith out of coaching forever ? Do you think the media would’ve grabbed it and milked it for everything they could get ?

      • I never believed it, I doubt there would be any coach in any sport that would stoop so low.

I just noticed the typo in my original post, bimbo lol, should be him.

    • Precisely. Fact is the standards at the club have been dropping every year since he left

What does it take to be sent off. A classic from last nights game is the tackle on Lane verses Sivo. Sivo a fine and the 2 Manly players get 2 weeks each. How does Parramatta benefit from this? The teams advantaged are the teams Manly play over the…

"Screw chasing the collision, it's out dated. How about we chase not getting embarrassed every week? How about we simply chase a win? "

"We desperately need to appoint a key HOF. Someone experienced like a Frank Ponisi, Shane Richardson or a Peter Parr.
This is the starting point.
