The penalties we didn't get

It wasnt the dubious tries they gotthey were 50-50s or even the penalties that Melbourne got they were also 50-50s. It wa the penalties that we didn't get which was more important to the outcome of the game. Melbourne were given so long to lay on our players without being punished once. It may have or may not have changed the outcome but the referees allowed storm to slow it down so much in the second half that we simply couldn't turn momentum. That to me is worse then a few 50-50 calls that didn't go our way. We should have 4-5 penalties for them laying on our players.

  • I will say though it's time to move on and get the win against the cows. What's done is done!
    • Yes, and will make it all bitter sweet if we make it to the GF and smash Melbourne!!!
  • Exactly, when it comes to Melbourne you can't rely on getting the 50 50 calls.

You need to smash them beyond all doubt. Leave nothing in the tank.

  • Grubs, we will get another crack at them.
  • The one they got off the Slater very poor attempt at play the ball, same as 09 GF .Little prick didnt even try to get to his feet.knock on any day of the week.
    • Was clear as day!! Wasn't even close to being on his feet ... and the attempt was within a nano second of being tackled... like w are meant to let go as soon as a player is tackled???
    • Billy the kid has been around a long time and is a master milker of penalties. Manu should have not gone near him.But the guy the really got up my nose was the clown that accused Manu of choking him (he was, just a little bit). Every time he touched the ball he was whingeing to the ref for a penalty. And I think it's obvious that Melbourne are trained to manipulate the ref as often as possible.

All that said the Eeler's right; time to move on the the Cowgirls. Goooooo Parra !!!

  • Second half penalty count was 6-1.

Says it all really. The refs appeared to be genuinely petrified that Melbourne might actually lose.

  • What got me was how far they were offside on the Eels last play. Smith was 3-5m in front of the line so when Moses got the ball he was already on him and he had to rush the kick. Should have been 2 points to Para and into extra time.
  • If we meet the storm again I think everyone will be backing Parra to smash them
