Personally, I wouldn't do it...
I can see where you are coming from but I don't think it is the way to go. The trouble we have at the moment is our whole team, including Hayne, are expecting it all to happen.
When we started winning last year, Hayne shone, but he could only do that when we played hard as a team and did all boring stuff right. We tackled hard and fast, our dummy half work became crisp and eelectric and we dominated the ruck, giving the flashy boys the room to weave.
Now we just fling it to Hayne, Mateo and our outside backs with the attitude of do something. Maybe this is because we are out of puff by not enforcing the ad line in defence.
Without doubt Hayne is brilliant when he is at his best but he isn't at his best and he can't play at that level week in week out. I agree Robson, KK and Morts have to lead the team and steer them around the park in a more dominant fashion than they currently do. Perhaps some of their perceived lack of direction is due to the lessor role that they play to Hayne. If you drop Hayne would you put Burt at fullback and maybe bring either Inu or Wright onto the wing?
