Tonight you could see the difference between Moses and Cleary's way of playing. Cleary invents things were as Moses has been that shackled not to make a mistake he just supports.

His stats across all three games of that series were very similar. Not one try assist, line break or line break assist across the whole series. Tackle efficiency around 80%.
Same again for 2019 series, although he only played 2 games that series.
His first line break and line break assist didn't come until game 2 2020, which was his 7th game. His first try assist was in his 8th game, game 3 2020.
Move forward to 2021, where he played the first two games, and with an aggregate scoreline of 76-6, he only had 1 try assist, although he did have 3 line breaks and 2 line break assists.

For comparison:
Game 3 - July 15 2021
Mitch Moses
80 minutes
5 runs / 17 metres / 0 post contact metres
0 line breask / 1 line break assist / 2 try assists / 0 line engaged runs / 0 tackle breaks
Yeah, we definitely want Moses to become "unshackled" and turn into Chris Sandow. That's the answer.
This is honestly such a bad take. Both on calling Moses growing maturity a "shackling" and blaming BA for it.
A fair criticism of Moses (and DBrown for the most part) is that he needs to run more and take on the line more, that's not about being shackled by a coach - BA has actually openly said that he wants him to run and take the line more.
You mean Moses had two try assists, a linebreak assist, more than 300 kicking metres and completed 16 of 19 tackles and I'm fairly certain his 3 "missed tackles" was him with strong first contact, knocking the guy over and the tackle being completed by a teammate.

So what things did Cleary invent last year?
The BA hate is strong in this one.
I think he is a good coach but will not win a grand final. He is short of that grade.
What would be more interesting is what was Cleary's stats for his SOO debut? Can anyone help?
