      • Right so MON hired them? Wouldn't that be on Ryles?

      • Prior to Knights he was at Tigers. His bio states he was PE teacher and has a passion for developing athletes from pathways to NRL

Maybe he does nothing with FG? Certainly looks like it

        • So who is the s&c who has our boys reaching for the Ventolin after 8min? We know we don't have the talent and one way to compensate is with fitness levels. How did we bugger this up?

His resume seems to be hot garbage...wonder if he's mates with someone

          • He is Brad Arthurs cousin...oh wait BA left, we can't blame him anymore...

  • Super , is this a blog in defence of the recent talk that O'neill and Sarantinos have a lot to answer for?

In every match so far this season,  our pack has been badly beaten, from R1 when injuries weren't an issue.

Have the three imports in Debelin, Kelly and Pezet looked like strategic signings super ?

Why have we lost the best centre at the club in Russell Super, why was his contract allowed to get to a stage where other clubs could negotiate??

Why was Matterson - signed for 3 seasons when it was well known he had serious head injury concerns and motivational issues Super ?

Why have we missed out on every marquee signing when it was well known we were after them Super

Super, why did the Dylan Brown contract have more clauses than any other player in history,  that not only cost the club his services,  but the bungled circumstances allowed other players to sign elsewhere because of the unknown nature of the contract??

Super, why do we have the worst defence in the comp

See, all these issues don't concern Super, as he produces this blog to exonerate the disastrous and bungled administration in which the Parramatta members will now have to suffer the consequences with.  O'neill and Sarantinos must be held accountable by the Parramatta members who are paying their comfortable wages.

Start looking at the bigger picture,  before blaming injuries for what's happening now. Its not all about who's injured. Our pack has one decent Prop (Sam Tuivaiti and its showing on the park.

All Super can do, is make excuses about injuries.  Was anyone expecting 50 + put against the team by a team who are close to spoon favourites? Thats totally inexcusable.  The roster is the problem thus Sarantinos + o'neill are the problem

    • That's a lot to infer from a single blog Chiefy.

  • See it's why I've beaten the drum for how long about where they look for talent if you can't land it in your own backyard why as a club recruitment strategy aren't we looking wider. We've had bugger all outside back depth for at least I don't no 2,3,4 seasons yet here we are.

We recruit the Kelly's Opacic's Harpers of the world.

The 2 best centres in the club are Penisini and Russell but since we don't develop outside backs they get a free ride and aren't dropped even if they aren't developing and to be fair Russell has improved but the kick in the nuts here is he's off to Perth so what else do we have another journeyman in Kelly to replace him with seemingly nothing coming through the pipeline worth a damn.

The club loses Lomax let's him walk hey fair enough but what are you replacing him with Simonsson a middle of the road player replacing a SoO and international yet we are expected to improve an area of weakness with lesser talent.See someone has to explain it to me the thought process behind this move.

Melbourne lose Coates and Warbrick is off to the warriors sweet they are in for Lomax spend millions in court costs lose but don't muck around they end up lining an equivalent talent in Issako with goal kicking to boot see that's a strategy.

Penrith lose Critta Tago replaces him as they have Maclean stashed then proceed to drop Tago recruit Alamoti and Maclean at 19 looks like the second coming of GI.

To very different strategies from the best in class where we are god knows but I know for a fact we are far from best in anything. We need a coherent executed strategy right now it feels like we are the kid sitting in the corner with the dunce hat on.It's all there to see now it's upto whoever is responsible to come up with a better plan because this BS clown show they've got going on now is joke central and is only going to get exposed further with this injury predicament we are in.

    • You keep saying to explore other pathways what pathways?  You have previously mentioned rugby and rugby 7s players from the Pacific Islands who have great athletes.  Yes they may transition to league but they have to want to come and play league,.then they have to learn the game and work their way through the grades.  They have to do all this while leaving their family behind and moving to a new country.  Most do not make it due to the massive culture shock and loss of their family connections.  If it was as easy as grabbing players from the islands or playing 7s and transitioning them every club would be doing it and the bigger successful clubs would be grabbing the better prospects.

We have had a number of Kiwis, queenslanders and country players join our pathways over the years so it isn't like we only have locals in our system. Others come from the bush as well so what other pathways do you want to explore.

As for individual players such as Alamoti, plenty on this site were bagging him when it was suggested Parra should go after him before he signed with Penrith. Did we chase him, we don't know because if he had a choice between Penrith chasing him and Parra we will lose while they are a good premiership chance every aeason.

It is also a lot easy to look like a quality player in a well performing team.  Would Alomoti be as good at Parra? How about McLean and Talagi who have been exposed by both Parra and bulldogs recently in defence and will continue to be targets as the year goes on.  If they were Parra 's left edge people would be calling to sack them for their defense because as a side we give away easy metres and field position.  Sides get a lot of quick play the balls as well which would give opposition more chances to expose them.  So as good as Penrith are at developing players, are they really developing them better then Parra or do some average players play like champions in a great side.  I also guarantee if we got Isaako plenty would have asked why.

It is a club issue not an individual player issue a lot of the times and if either Alomit or Isaako came here they would underperform and the same people whinging about not signing them now would also be the first to call them bums if we did sign them.

      • Our alledged pathways resemble wallaby tracks...no-one has any idea where they lead

      • We aren't looking is the issue there was an u/18s world 7s tournament here in NZ 2 months ago do we have scouts actively combing tournaments like this I don't know I doubt it though.

Theres the world 7s circuit are we actively looking there I doubt it.Are we actively looking up in the pacific for talent or are we just lazy and useless pricks waiting for the pacific cup so we can look at them.

All while we watch a team like Melbourne head hunt union talent as a avenue.Yet here we are journeyman central. If Development is a way out we are only going halfway we aren't turning over every stone. Why I ask 40 yrs 40 farken years and our heirachy still don't get it.All while watching the Warriors Roosters Canberra Melbourne and alike prosper and here we are happy with 30 metre sets and relying on Moses kicking game to bail us.

"Uele could be better than what we have. I wouldn't say they want too much money, more so would want years on their deal.
We would more likely offer just rest of the year and if they perform offer further. They would want 2-3 years straight up."
