If the reports are true that Hayne wants $700k a year then I believe Hayne is delusional.
Whilst being still a very good player he is nowhere near his best.
The highest the club should go is $500k a year. And I think that is generous.
What happened to Hayne sacrificing money so he could return to Sydney and be with his child.
I think Hayne is playing hardball negotiating tactics and will regret it.
If another club pays over $500k for him then I say our club has done the right thing.
I applaud the administration for not paying overs .

Well given the fact that Hayne only played a handful of games in 2018 and was near the best on the field and there are useless players getting 800k and 900k for.doing stuff all for the whole year! I think Hayne has the right to ask!
Paying overs for some players is no justification for paying overs for all. we need to break the culture not enable it.
It's a cycle of desperation that we need to break.
I don't want to get Hayne if it means we are back ending a contract and stuggling in a year or two.
I think we have seen that this administration is not afraid to walk away from a deal if it's not in the long term interests of the club, and I applaud that type of decision making.
Totally agree Premier. Not all deals are good deals. Learn to walk away, as much as I love having him around his future is now limited.
I’m more than happy to pay him 700k . As long as he refunds us 250k from this season due to going on holidays in the pre season and turning up for the year under prepared and missing half the season .
Sounds fair ?
Agree, ive got the feeling the clubs going cold on him regardless of his asking price.
If we wanted him and he was asking 500k it should all be a done deal by now, we could definitely find that sort of money seeings we are resigning a few bums.
He either wants more than we are willing to pay or we dont want him.
