The Finals Crystal Ball

Let's all just rejoice for a second and appreciate what the boys have done to reach the finals this season.I never gave up hope, but millions would have. We've doubled our win column from what we had 7 weeks ago.Now it's time to look into the FInals Crystal Ball following the final round. My prediction is that we will finish 6th. This will probably also mean the Dragons will finish 3rd (assuming the Titans beat the Sea-Eagles)Even if the Sea-Eagles beat the Titans, we'll probably finish 7th, and the Dragons will finish 2nd.Either way, let's say we play the Dragons in Week 1.I think this is a good thing. Their defence last week was nothing short of appalling. They look to have peaked too early and if Parra can sort them out this week, there's no reason they can't do it 2 weeks in a row. Especially if we get a LOT of Eels fans out to Kogarah for both matches. So let's look at what could happen for us:Week 1:Storm v BroncosDragons v Eels (again)Titans v Sea Eagles (again)Bulldogs v KnightsLet's go on current form and say that the Storm, Eels, Titans and Bulldogs win these gamesWeek 2:Eels v BroncosStorm v DragonsThis would be a danger game for us, but let us remember that the Broncos were going terribly before their last few rounds. Let's look at who they've played though. After being flogged by the Raiders, they beat the Sharks, Penrith, Dragons and Cowboys. Nothing too impressive really. I think we have got their number, especially in Sydney.I think the Storm will roll the Dragons and knock them straight out of the finalsWeek 3:Titans v StormBulldogs v EelsOur worst knightmare. 1998 revisited?I wish I didn't remember that game as clearly as I do.But let's just say, Kimmorley out makes the Bulldogs vulnerable. Maybe they won't even win in the first week.Let's just hope we play like we did 5 weeks ago when we shocked the comp to get our roll on.Whatever happens, this will be massive and WE WILL ALL BE THERE.Titans v Storm? Who knows? I sorta want the Titans to make a GF, and I think we'll go well against them.So let's say:GRAND FINALEels v TitansBANG.Our first premiership in 23 years....

  • Week 2- Bronco's @ Brisbane could be a tough game- in front of 50,000 odd QLD'ers..
    • We'd play at home. The winning team hosts the losing side in Week 2 :)
      • ah okay sweet!

parra stadium? or would it be sydney?
        • Probably at ANZ Stadium or SFS. Parra Stadium is too small to host that game!
          • cool, we'd have great support there.
  • Sea Eagles out in Round 1 of the finals .. knocking out the Broncos and the Dogs on our way to a GF victory. It couldn't get much better.

Nightmare Off-Season replied to Roy tannous's discussion Keons asking price revealed👀👇

I see Keon's price as irrelevant (within reason), because he is an absolute no brainer for the Eels.

Paulo was fantastic last season, though, he’s fighting the clock & Keon is a perfect replacement longer term.

He seems to suit JR’s preference…"
