Luke Burt instead of Semi. Hahahaha. This bloke must have been on the gear.
Luke Burt, seriously what an imbecilic choice.
What a weak side. Surely 2011-2014 outfit could easily man handle that team.
There are two schools of thought here regarding Burt. Some say he was too small, overstayed his career in first grade and is a poor choice when compared with Semi Radradra.
On the other hand he played for 14 seasons in the top grade, is our second-highest point scorer, eclipsed Brett Kenny's try-scoring record and was one of our most consistent players throughout his career. You might think Burt is too small for today's game, but he's bigger than Bevan French. It takes genuine toughness, skill and talent to play 264 games in the NRL.
The writer of this also points out that he overlooked Radradra as he'd only played 94 games by the end of 2017 and then switched codes.
Isnt it meant to be our best team not a team of guys who kicked the most goals and played the most games?
Burt was useless when it really mattered, take a look at him getting exposed and walked over in our big semis and GFs, the bloke was an honest footy player who had some skills, no way is he fit for a best of club team.
Semi absolutely shits over Burt, its not even a contest.
It's weird when I see all time Parra lineups without Peter Wynn. One of the most devastating trying-scroring 2nd rowers of the 80's.
