Thanks Parra - it's been good, but enough's enough!!

I can't believe that I am 54 years of age, having followed Parra since I was 10yo. Seen all our glory days. (the Wonder Years, 81-83), but at the moment, I am mortified with our direction, how we let players leave willy nilly. OK we can't keep 'em all, but shit why pay 400,000 a year for Morts & let Hodkinson go for nothing. Keating, Mateo, Inu, lyon,ryan, - every game we play, it's pick the ex-eel. I am absolutely jack of it now. Our defence WAS good. Tonight was shit - & of course we can't score more that one try a game, so we're fucked!! - & Hindy!! - Sorry mate, you are a champion, but we didn't need the pressure your mistakes brought in the 1st half

I too feel the pain, i was around in the 80's watching guys dig in for less money than these guys get know.

The 90's were lean, but apparantly we learnt from that and made changes. Well i'm sorry, our retention team need sacking.

Every year we let the good talent go and keep the under achievers. I also know we can't keep every player we have, but for fuck sake, surely we can get some better talent scouts in....

Gardener is killing it at the sharks, Hodkinson is killing it at Manly and will lead the dogs to glory, Maloney is the key at the Warriors, Kingston is the buy of the year at Penrith, i could go on..........

Morts is not on 400k a year(Where did you get this information because wherever you got this must be a completely retarded source) . You state that we let Lyon go, we did but he did not want to play under Brian Smith and as long as BS was there he was not going to be there

Too right Bert, I would get sick running through all the players that we have lost. But every club loses players because of the salary cap - It just seems to me like we are supplying the NRL with their playing talent. We develop 'em & they have to leave, because we can't afford them - What the fuck have the roosters ever done to develop talent?? - I think it is wrong - Parra & Penrith have the best juniors & they're raped every year

  Because our population is a lot bigger. Of course Parra, Penrith, Newcastle, Brisbane, Gold Coast and North Qld are going to supply most of the talent. That's where the players are in the first place.
  
  As for the players you mentioned, they all left for way more than we were prepared to pay. Would you have spent the $350k on Mateo? Or $250k+ on Inu? Ryan left for dirty money with the Dogs and that still hurts me. He should be making all these milestones with Cayless and Hindy. But are you going to begrudge a player money if another club is offering it? I certainly won't be.

Agree with most your points, but Lyon should be excluded. He's a rat and a dog that cried home-sickness and wanted out, only too chase money elsewhere. Every game I watch him play I hope he gets smashed! At least it gives me a reason to watch Manly games.
Unfortunately Hindy was bad today, but even the champs are off some days.
This will not be our year.... again!

Hindmarsh made 58 tackles - no wonder he made a few errors in those conditions. He was probably fucking dead!

Yeah, seeya mate. St. George in the sixties had half of Sydney following them 'cause they won the most. It's following your team when they're battlin' that shows whose Parra and who ain't.
