Ryles dropped him after the Darwin game.
That's a good sign: Ryles dropped him as soon as he knew he wasn't mentally there anymore.
PS: It partly explains the 12-50 at TIO against the Raiders who wouldn't have fallen in love with the Darwin climate either.
I hope who ever set up the long term deal to play in Darwin is no longer at the club. It was crazy and everyone knew it. I am not sure of the stats but i bet the whole circus cost us wins in the following game also, as the heat and flights take a toll on the body.
Didn't another team say they'd play in Darwin? We could still end up playing there. Also aren't PNG playing some of their games in NT?

The problem playing in Darwin was the time of year it was played. It should be scheduled now, in August. Not in April.
I remember that Darwin game clearly. Lane seriously looked like he was running in quicksand and almost needed medical assistance. We all joked poor bastard was still in his Darwin motel room recovering for weeks on a 5 foot long bed. That was the last we saw of him
