Teancum Brown pushing his case for R1

51 minutes

13 runs

128 m  pack leader

44m post contact - overall eader

37 tackles.   - overall  leader

93% tackle efficiency - very high

1 try

2 offloads

Ill have more to say about him later, but he has to be in the running for a top 17 spot there's no doubt.  He should be on the 6 man bench regardless.

If he can replicate this performance against the Roosters this weekend,  I can't see how the coaching staff can leave him out of the 19 man squad.

Brown has also been a leader in preseason training thus far,  and has won numerous shirts for his efforts.

In our out guys.

Surely he gets in over Kelma and he needs to get time in fg, as he is earmarked to be a future repayment for Jnr and jdb as is Sam Tuivaiti and Ryda Talagi

    • Nailed it EA! Great leg drive!

  • Big motor for a big bloke. It's the same with Tuivaiti, they both seem to keep coming with the ability to play big minutes. They'd both have to be 115kg plus. Not sure who the conditioning coach is but he's doing a good job on these young blokes.

    • Saw Junior on side line and man he looks so lean and fit! Means business ;)

      • Boxing Macy. I taught the daughter of Paulo's boxing coach, gave a signed shirt for Xmas for teaching last year haha.

But boxing would have fit as and works on his footwork and discipline.

        • Nah, he used to box fat and it doesn't get easier to lose as you get older...Ozempic, not that there's anything wrong with that. Every trainer always tried to pul weight off of Jnr forever, but to no avail. Now? Easy-peasy

        • Yeah that'd be it LB. He looks fantastic. Hope he has a great year. If it was me I'd be ready and running off him as often as possible ;)

be great to get my fave Sam.T and Teacum into a bit of that kinda training oooh imagine both of those with some even greater  stepping?

  • Chief given where we are at, are you in the market for a top tier prop?

    • I think a quality outside back/centre should be the priority. A premium Prop forward would help, but i think the fact that we have good depth and development in that position, meant we aren't going to be offering super crazy money for someone like keon.

      • Same, there's going to have to be some consideration to 5/8 for 2027 but I think we are well served up front.

  • T.Brown is a beast.

"True. Richard was good too. I expect him at some stage this year to be thrown a first grade jersery to cover for injuries/ suspension.
In general out junior stocks look top stuff and it hasnt been that way for over 20 years with the 2001 baby Eels."
