          • Yes the ones that pick the right wing off anything that flies!

      • I know it's true LB, but I can't figure out why there's so much hatred for Parra. We're not relevant and haven't been for a very long time, I'm surprised we register any feeling at all, let alone hate.

I hate the Storm, probably due to their endless success and dubious tactics over many years, not to even mention the straight-up cheating and the 09 GF.

What has Parra done to warrant the hatred from other fans? Am I being naive here? what am I missing?

        • I can't work it out either. Probably because every second person in Sydney is an Eels fan.

          • Maybe once Finny, but the 80's fans are dying and trying. ......Parramatta is a working class suburb/city  and they lost their way as a football team from the 90's onwards.....you can never take your eye off the ball and Parra has suffered from that over a long period of time.

            • I wouldn't say that Poppa. Parra still has a massive fan base, and in the Greater Parramatta area is the only team to follow. Imagine how massive the club could be if we are successful! We also have fans scattered all over the place - they are everywhere.

        • Well the premiership drought is a start, many want them to stay that way to have a joke to tell. I hate Wests yet many feel sorry for them. Many wont feel for us.

I have said this before, but when Parra made 2022 GF one mate said to me "I hope they lose as it means i can't make jokes anymore".

I also had people say they hate Moses and Gutho as they carry on. But the hatred goes further back than that.

        • Exactly the only thing I hear is Parradontmatter I don't even get the Parramatta Eels.We are such an inconsequential club at this point in time we definitely don't deserve the hate.

This doesn't bode well for us at all.

    • Those two are a fucked up combination honestly. Raiders will run a train on us.

"Randy,  An interesting one.
I suppose coaches trust certain players or believe they're the best fit for the team, even if club form or a high minute count aren't there.
I'd choose you for x-factor even if you only had 5 minutes of form."

"Hoe, I dislike the idea that a player can be selected for Aust with only 480 club minutes on show...and not all of them good. How can he have form without playing?
Perhaps a rule that said 10 nrl games to be eligible for Aust would help everyone"
