For the last several years, our captains (Mannah & Scott) have spent more time off the field than on it.A captain needs to be on field for most if not all the game to inspire, lead, motivate and control the players.
On this basis our 2018 co-captains should be Gutherson and Brown-both are inspiring and 100% committed players who meet all criteria to be successful captains.
Mannah and Scott still have important roles to play but not as captains.

I like your thinking but I don't think BA will go down that route. I believe had Norman has those off field issues at the end of 2016 he would've been our full time captain in 2017.
BA likes experience as well so I can understand why he's chosen Mannah and Scott previously. Will be interesting to see if he go down the same path this year considering the fact most of the group played finals footy last year and are fairly well experienced 1st graders now.
Gutho dual captain for sure. Jennings is another who would be perfect . Brown sure leads by example as well. But has Brown re-signed yet? Maybe it’s part of the deal if he wants it?
i prefer Brown to carry on as he has, being awesome, without worrying about captaining tbh.
Barney, don’t mean to be picky but your heading says ‘Captions’ where I think you mean ‘Captains’ might need to alter mate.
Thanks

I agree the captain needs to be on the field for the whole game week to week. We need someone who has the respect of the players and can inspire the team to pull out that extra 10% when it's needed - you can't do that from the sideline and having 2 captains means you don't get a consistent approach. That leaves an interesting choice really. Norman is probably not the player to do this. Moses is a good choice, but he has enough on his plate just trying to be the dominant half. If Gutho plays fullback he would be a good choice. Brown certainly shows by example, but we need a talker.
I wouldn't be disappointed to see Michael Jennings appointed captain. I agree that the player chosen should spend most (if not all) of the game on the field. Mannah and Scott don't qualify on that basis alone. The other option is Nathan Brown who has shown that he can control his aggression.
