RUMOUR

There is rumours around the JT isn’t happy under the coaching of Todd Payten and is looking to get out of his Cowboys contract.

The Bulldogs are reportedly keen on the idea of signing him for season 2022 and beyond! To make it happen though, the Bulldogs would need to take on the remaining 1 million dollar a year deal until the end of 2027!

Would this guy be worth chasing? Brown and Matterson money.

      • Very silly comment geez I swear with comments like this, I've said in at least 3 times I'd move on from this site. Why would anyone payout 7million for the next 7 years. Look what we have atm for 150k a year, dumb dumb dumb. And dumb.

  • If he is happy, it's not becuae of Todd Payten, it's because the Cowboys stink.

So why would he join the Dogs ?

      • No, you're losing Browns work rate in defence & his ball skills, plus a very capable edge forward.

I don't see the upside for us.

      • No way would I swap Brown and Matto for JT.  Sorry.

  • $1m per year for the next 6 years,  no way.

  • There is no way I would take over his contract.

1 million a year for the next 6 years. You would be crazy to tie up that much on one forward.

Our forward stocks are fine. We need to splash the cash on outside backs.

      • I understand your point and it has merit. Still, locking in one player when we are working well with numerous "cheapies" is unlikely to happen.

  • No way.

Having 1 conference stronger than another would matter at all. The extra points for conference wins are only available in your own conference, therefore the strength or weakness of your conference is irrelevant. The downside I see with the…"
