Still just a rumour till announced. Same as last week.
He can fight Jake for the 14.....LoL
Just waiting on the Tigers taking Brown. We only have two spots left in our 30. Not sure how many trial and train deal players are allowed we have 3 at the moment , they are not counted in the top 30 but get paid $1000 a week gross. This way they can be covered by insurance and are allowed to train with the team etc. The longer we hold off on Taupau the less we pay him on this years cap. Josh Reynolds at the dogs is still on a trial and train deal. Weird shit but they are trying to hold off his signing into the top 30 for as long as possible to circumvent their salary cap dramas. The longer they hold off the less of his contract goes onto the cap. The more they can front load someone elses contract this year to leave money for Moses next year.
Round and Round it goes.
Lumelume is one
who are the other 2 on train and trial?
Train & Trial Players 2023
EELS: Jordan Rankin, Larry Muagututia, Jayden Yates, Elie El-Zakhem
We have 4 LB ln train and trial contracts with 3 on the development list
Blaize Talagi
Unitoni Mataela
Zac Cini
Awesome, but I saw on El-Zakhem's instagram he is training with Roosters.
he is still on our list, So perhaps it hasnt been updated. One of the last articles on him was after the world cup written on 16 December 3 odd weeks ago. If thats the case it has only just happened perhaps the Eels cut him. Im not sure on anything official. But i take it on board, does anyone else have any further info on his Roosters deal .
Elie El-Zakhem (Second-Rower/Prop)
El-Zakhem has just left England having featured for Michael Cheika’s Lebanon side where he started all four games at the World Cup. The 24-year-old second-rower is training with Parramatta Eels and could look to Super League if he doesn’t crack the squad considering he’s had a taste of first-class rugby at the World Cup and he played 80 minutes in every one of the 21 games he played in the Eels’ NSW Cup team. Throughout that competition El-Zakhem dominated, averaging 134 metres with the ball per game and 29 tackles at an incredible 94.6% efficiency. The Lebanese international can also play prop so would make a canny signing for any Super League side.
Signed with Roosters
I think Mataele and Brazel have brighter futures for our club so perhaps just cut bait now and he took an opportunity for a team that gets a lot of injuries in their forwards, they debut a few players every year.
BE, didn't El-Zakhem signed with the Roosters as previously reported?
