Tamou offered to Eels

Heard a whisper that Penrith want to release James Tamou.  He still has 2 more seasons on contract.

Several months ago this surfaced, but no one wants to pay 750k for him. Thats open news.

But heard Panthers will now pay some to offload him. How much i wasn't told.

The whisper is that Eels have been offered him at a reduced price. Talks underway

I so hope not, has done nothing at Penrith.

getting alot of whispers about stuff, but wanted to share this one. Has more legs to it

  • I would say yes for that signing
  • Parra should counter offer - as in, pay them to keep him,

  • Dunno about Tamou. Think his best is behind him although I thought he did offer a bit at the end of this season. He’s on par with what we have and the reduced rate would need to be significantly reduced.

  • He is 10x better than what we have

      • "Quiet" impressive eh. Is that like surreptitiously impressive Poppa. Impressive but without letting on too much?

Personally I thought he was actually very impressive towards the end of the year and motored through the opposition forward packs. IMO Tamou still has plenty to offer and would be a great forward leader if we can't get either Kapow or Klemmer. His ball carry is still quiet impressive and defensively strong. He would be good for our young forwards and would set a great platform for Brown and Tepai to cart the ball up behind him.

        • Personally I thought he was actually very impressive towards the end of the year.  Rowdy, your not talking about Pops there are you?

Seriously though, if at the right price, and I would say no more than $500k he could be a fair acquisition but like a couple of our players already had poor first halves of the season this year, and they also need to lift as well.

I doubt he is a SOO player anymore but, if he can motor strongly for half a game in rotation could work ok, would give us a fair front forward power if all of them are injury free fit and fit for RL conditions.

    • bullshit chief              he`s a 100 times better

  • Only if they are willing to take norman

  • Better then what we’ve got. I’d take him.
