Stuart on top of Raiders list...

Things just got more interesting, it seems the vacant coaching job at Canberra has had a few candidates put their hand up for it, Walters, Dunneman, Sheens and Neil Henry. But the one person they wish for is R. Stuart, it may even come true this time next year, who knows??Do you guys think Stuart would jump ship if we dont make the top 8 next season?

  • Did you get this from Fox Sports or the Telecrap? I doubt Stuart would jump ship, he'd be forever cursed by Parramatta supporters.

  • that's stupid. Sticky will see out his contract and might even stay if we reach the 8 two yrs in a row

  • Stuart will see out his Eels contract he will not discredit his reputation - but obviously with the Nuffies on this site calling for his sacking doesn't really endear him to some fans.
  • i doubt it. i remember an interview when he first got the gig as our coach. He mentioned that him and his family have settled here as one of the reasons he wanted to coach a Sydney team.

  • he could have taken the Raiders job last time it was available but he chose to come to Parra because he sees the potential and knows we are a force for the future.

  • I knew this blog would squeeze its way out. If he gets dumped next year which I doubt , they would have already signed someone else. Plus Canberra is a cold hole
    • i live in Canberra and honestly I wouldn't live here if I had a same sort of job in either Sydney or Brisbane. I just hate Canberra. It is always freaking cold. No one should come here :(

  • The reason he took the job here over Canberra was for his daughter who he didnt wanna have to move around, so i doubt hed be having any second thoughts
  • He'd be mad to walk out on a 800K contract. The Raiders aren't going to pay anywhere near that for their next coach surely?

If he's that keen on going to Canberra, he should continue coaching Parra until the end of his 4 year contract, collecting something in the vicinity of 3 million dollars along the way and then go to the Raiders. If he manages to turn our basket case side into a top 8 side in either 2014 or 2015, then maybe, just maybe, some other clubs might consider him a miracle worker and offer something near 800K to move!

"Cowboys wasn't a great performance LB. they have been shown up quiet badly after we managed to bust their defence at will in their Red Zone! i.e. fundamentally the same attack as the Phins game, just a different resolve from the defence.
