* the player has already been mentioned in recent articles linking him with Parramatta

+ id say the signing is almost certainly a back, although we have two props out for the year so maybe a middle

+ the rumour i heard was from a recent podcast from an eels fan site .

Who could it be ?

    • Is that what your hearing? He any good? Haven't seen him play

      • Young and fast, good under the high ball, plays wing/centre/fullback.....perfect purchase if he is good enough, he has played bit through Dolphins, NZ School boy Rugby International, he is only 20 years old and you would get him for peanuts.

He is the type of player we have not focussed on, even knowing we have little coming  through the juniors in outside backs. I am very critical of recruitment not going after more players with his type of credentials.

Face value we can't judge him yet, but Coryn will be delighted if we are actually looking at him.....not sure of the loan situation though, but he has plenty of outside backs to compete with at Dolphins.

  • According to Code Sports, the Roosters have just told Watson that if he can find a long-term deal at another team they would give him their blessing to leave early.

    • If they are going to release Watson early they must have a player ready to sign. It's the way the good clubs work. And this is how we get the discards.

      • I'd say they just don't need/want him anymore. They have Reece Robson for 9.

  • Butcher boys next in line to be pissed off

  • Apparently Drinkwater has been told to look around by the cowboys, he would be a great pick up for us, oh wait, we have mon.

    • Why would a fullback be a great pick up for us? Of all positions, it's not a problem.
