  • FMD what happened to playing Dolphins?

    • Yeah I know . Of course we start at away as well , would've been nice to have this at home

    • That was just Zero Tackle doing a prediction based on nothing. Rumour of Dolphins playing Souths was around for months.

  • At least we get that pounding out of the way early

  • Eh, I don't mind it. First week of the year is always a toss up as teams blow out the cobwebs in real match conditions.

Good for us to get a benchmark early on as to where we are and have a talented team try to take us apart so we know what we have to work on.

We'll be expected to lose (away and to Melbourne) so worst case is we meet expectations.

I'd prefer a hard start than an easy one. Momentum doesn't mean squat till the second quarter of the season when the table starts to take shape.

    • If anyone is a real stats person and superstitous based on them, around 60% of premiership winners in last 25 or so years have lost in Round 1, Melbourne making the stat lower of course due to their record. Not saying we win the comp but at same time having a loss in Round 1, as long as not a flogging, is not a bad thing.

We will be without JAC and Simonsson too, so will have makeshift Wingers for the game.

      • Actually that isn't true mate.

Since 98, it is dead even amongst Premiers winning / losing R1 (48.15%), with only 1 team playing out a draw (2000 Broncos)

  • Yep predicted it.

  • Last game of the week , out of Sydney , against the team that's won 20+ round 1s in a row . Thanks NRL 😂

  • Great time to get the storm, I'm hoping Melb are rusty and with a few more signings and upset is on the cards
