Look I know it's tough to watch, especially with the effort that was put in against the titans but as a fan base need to stick solid behind the group of players we have left. Yes injuries have decimated the team but also the effort yesterday was unacceptable both can be true. Expecting a much better effort against the dogs this week but we can't really make many changes to the 17 due to injury. Terrible effort yesterday but it's a new week so we move forward. And yes our recruitment team is horrible and needs to go lol.

But Fox, Simmonson and Samrani have all shown they have good hands and turn half chances into points. Apa Twidle did it twice with his first two touches. Only Fox is surviving and he's wearing rib padding. Everyone gushed over Iongi
None of us are happy with what we're seeing but until they looked disconnected vs Titans it's been the defense not attack as the issue?
Need to give these young players a break. You could see NRL is very demanding & they were getting tired. To have 12 players + injured is a huge burden on the team, I don't think I've ever seen it this bad. We know what they can do at full strength, Moses is our general, he will lead us out of the rut.
in light of the injury toll, would the dragons do us a solid and release Su'a early?
High chance, they have some young blokes ready to take more minutes on
sounded like this might be an option, wait and see i guess. he is only one player, but every bit helps!
We are about 5-6 years away from being a top 8 team imo an entire generation of eels players needs to be found. Not a single eel in our entire squad is adequate.
The worry is that every 5-6 years, we're still 5-6 years away. We're absolutely stuck in a never ending loop of misery... until something significant changes from the top. Until then... Groundhog Day.
The guy who runs the talking parra podcast is saying on his story that's not actually Marks fault but there is some other reason players don't want to come. I got no idea if it's true lol
Think he's just guessing it has to be our r&r team
I purposefully didn't wanna blog after the match yesterday just to let it settle in. Haven't even listened to reactions pods etc....yet.
We have a clear issue with starting games and our forwards pushing them back. That is our main issue. Thing is, I think our current forwards are capable of that, but there is a mentality issue.
I think, and I'll get laughed at it here, but yesterday we defended alright to good enough. our line shift and organisation in defence are good. Problem is we are not sticking to tackles.
Which goes back to the original point, mentality and effort.
I usually roll my eyes when people talk about effort and giving your all, seems simplistic, but I can't deny it. This group of players swtich off.
THey thought Titans were easy prey and the moment Kurtis Morrin made that first run that drove a few back, our players straight away surrendered.
Our issue is mentality. There is a reason players like Jack Williams, who's good, never made it to the top.
Ryles IMO has shown he's a good coach. But to win premierships it's that winning mentality that needs to be instilled. We showed it against the Tigers, and MOses led us there. Moses and Ryles need to take this by the scruff of the neck.
We've comeback from losses like this. Season's still long. But we should be worried and ask questions now. Yesterday must not happen again (or anything close to it).
