Sterlo's Involvement

Can someone please tell me what Sterlo's involvement is at the club at the moment?

He has a brilliant football brain and a heart that is still blue and gold.

I read a blog here a few days ago that suggested he was doing some work with the Parra halves but in commentary on the weekend he was highly critical of the sides of the field the two halves were kicking from given that they are left and right footers (Keating and Robbo). If he is doing work with them surely this is an area that would be addressed.

I know he lives on the Central Coast but in my opinion we should be doing everything possible to get him involved in the coaching ranks.

Make no mistakes-Sterlo is a winner! He won for Parra in the 80s and he won when playing for NSW and Australia. It is his football brain, belief and confidence that our team desperately needs.

Thoughts?

  • I think Sterlo's success in the media has made him think twice about his involvement with the EELS. And thats really dissapointing, because ive always hoped we can have Sterlo as coach or part of the coaching staff. I dont think he will give up his career in the media and risk it all.

But you never know, he has been linked to gettn more involved lately and maybe the bubble is about to burst. Maybe the great man himself cant hold it back anymore and is willing to come and rescue our team.

Comon STERLO cum back home baby.. The smartest player rugby league has ever produced!
  • Sterlo is not the answer, the 80's are long gone and Parra need to focus on 2011 now with the current players. Parra made last year's GF with no help from Sterlo.
  • and Parra lost right?........................
Sterlo can help, I just get the feeling he's worried about stepping on toes. If he helps DA, then brilliant, if not then I respect his wish not to.
  • Yeah, we lost to a team who cheated the cap, do you think Sterlo is GOD? The game has changed since Sterlo played.
  • maybe if the tv rights change and the nrl goes to channel seven which i think the tip is we can then think about sterlo being involved with the club aslong as channel 9 pay him as much as they do n we works not that many days, i dont think he will help out with parra, but deep down i think everyone know's he wants to.
