  • Some awesome stats there by the standouts - and I'll admit I was surprised by just HOW good Browns stats were, because he plays in a pretty understated way so it's easy to miss sometimes. On the other side of the coin:

    Blake Ferguson:

    90 Post Contact Metres - That's GOOD!

    4 Errors - That's BAD. :(

Two weeks in a row that Fergo's errors have really cost us in key moments. He's just such a workhorse in carting the ball back up field that it's almost impractical to drop him unless we have someone to offload that work to.

    Junior Paulo:

    9 Runs, 78 Metres: That's BAD! :(

    1 Offload: That's BAD! :(

Well below his best and I'm not sure why. Maybe it was just an off night? But we really need our forwards to be aiming up for these big games. If they're feeling fatigued this early in the season we've got big problems - maybe we need to think about some rotations now that we have our reserve grade team playing regularly.

  • I think there are key stats within the game.

Offloads in today game are highly desired.

Tackle busts can be a bit mis-leading as a player running sideways may fend off weak tackle attempts.

I like average post contact metres, usually show how dominant and strong a player really is.

    Missed tackles is another one.

Tries can be mis-leading too, a lot of the times a winger will get all the credit statistically but someone infield has done the hard work to create that opportunity.

  • At one stage I noticed we had 34 tackle breaks to their 18 yet they had a comfortable lead, the difference was they were patient and made the most of their opportunities,  we had no composure and rushed our opportunities.  I have lost patience with moses.

    • Apparently charged with a crusher tackle

  • How good is big papa. Still think he is needed to come off the bench for either paulo or rcg. His runs are inspiring. He deserves  not to be on the bench but we need him to come on and make an impact. Cartwright either needs to be utility off the bench or reserves even though i rather will smith. Eels need two props off the bench. I know only one game but i hate how cartwright runs across field and also trys to be a half. Hipgrave offers way more!

    • That's the problem with having both Papali'i and Niukore starting.

They both offer so much grunt off the bench.

Cartwright (Norman MKII) needs to go back to reserve grade.

We would be better off promoting Greig or Makato.

"Nope he is fit finally! Listed at 26.I honestly got no idea what injury he had that caused him not to play the second half of the year. hopefully he has a strong year in nsw cup. I rate him more than Jezaiah and Samrani, as a backrower if he stays…"
