Enjoy marching with the Neo Nazis.
You won't see any flag burning, or hamas /isis flags at this protest to be fair.
These recent racist protests have cost over 11 million dollars of tax payers money and climbing.
If there is a protest this Sunday, I hope it's peaceful. For family's and or Australians to get behind. I am over the division and the lack of respect for one another.
This !!!!!
We had an opportunity to protest or affirm our government on May 3rd. There was overwhelming support for the incumbent government.
What has changed so much in the last 100 days?
Ask the folks being starved in Gaza
Overwhelming support for Labor. Sorry, they got 34 percent of the primary vote. It was party preferences that got them across the line and nothing else. Greens and independants giving their preferences to Labor.
I was at the Brisbane protest. When did "Lets not starve children" become controversial". There was NO glorifying Hamas. The crowd was vast majority white middle age Skipps like me. Make no mistake, this was Aussies rising up.....but for Gaza
Yeah, the speakers loved the smell of their own farts and I don't agree with a lot of their rhetoric (river to the sea is not for me, but as the union leader said " I don't know the intricacies, but I know a shit situation when i see it
This was the largest national protest this country has seen. Ever....but we are all just simp cucks with no clue between us...Right?
Exactly
people know atrocity when they see it and are protesting a humanitarian disaster - nothing more nothing less
Largest national protest this country has seen?
Is that a "pluck" I was around in the Vietnam protests, I don't see this has the same ramifications as Australia's national interest compared to Vietnam where we had troops involved. I didn't protest then either, I was actually called up and prepared to go, didn't happen, but I see none of us having any real role in this protest about Palastine other than the starvation issues.
It seems to me if that group of protesters wanted to have a fund raiser for the children of the middle east, throw in Africa and then have a delegation to deliver it.....that it would have been a lot more productive than the divisiveness that this has caused.
The participants in these things think they have a majority of opinion by the turnout, if it went to a referendum of opinion I think they would have a worse result than Albanese's indigenous questions.
Does anyone actually think they are going to change Israel's involvement. They are having their own protests taking place internally. Their near Middle Eastern Neighbours don't seem that interested, probably busy with Sharia Law the execution of children in Iran and every other petty dictator torturing, murdering and raping people that no one wants to help.
Yep these marchers could have had everyone agreeing with the right terms of their protests against Isis, Hamas, Afganastan, woman's rights etc, in those countries, they could have done so much better. So many fcuked societies in our worlds make up, the last thing we need to destroy is our "splendid isolation".
I might add that we have Egyptian neighbours, very strong in their Islamic faith, you would not find better people with essentially the same ideals of a christian philosopy than anyone you would like to meet. They probably would not like me calling them in Christian philosphy terms but I only say that because we maybe able to better relate the values are not disimilar. That said they have no love of Israel and that is a judgement they make through history. A judgement we do not need to be involved with from an Australian point of view. They would be horrified if someone asked them to march, that would be an intrusion on their gratefulness of living in a country like Australia. Shame a few more didn't follow suit.
Australia has a unique culture lets not divide it by becoming involved in things we have no influence and deservedly so.
We are Australia with our own culture and should not get involved with "microcosyms" of other cultures, especially when we import those cultures graciously into our society.......to quote one of my favourite sayings "fit in or fuck off".
