Sivo to Cowboys?

The Parramatta Eels are quietly looking to move winger Maika Sivo.

Currently on a deal worth around $550,000-a-season, Sivo has been a shadow of the player who took the NRL by storm when he debuted back in 2019.

We’ve heard the Cowboys are interested in trying to strike a deal to bring big Maika to Townsville but have virtually no wiggle room to move in the salary cap.

Sivo was axed to NSW Cup earlier this season before being sin binned against Manly for a brain snap.

The Eels flyer has still managed to score six tries in four games this season but with Zac Lomax arriving next year Parramatta are looking to buy themselves more room in the salary cap.

  • Dargons after Talagi ? Why not just do an immediate swap lol.

    • 100%.

As for Sivo, let him go if we can get a better replacement as nobody in reserve grade is better.

      • If he wants to join the dragons would rather have Lomax asap so he can build combinations for next season.

        • Definitely

    • While they're at it. Shop Lane, Matto and Lussick as well.

  • The most concerning thing in this story is Isaac Moses has majority of Parramatta juniors on his books through close ties in the community.  Maybe now people can see why retention of juniors is such a shit show.

Moses is a cancer on the game and has used his top players to get coaches recruited and other players better contracts.  Some of the ridiculous contracts at tigers were his doing, then he had so many players at Manly he helped Siebold get the coaching role.  Brisbane offloaded players who had Moses as his manager due to amount of power he had and Nick Politis refuses to talk to him.

    • You only need to look what other clubs have not been involved with the grub Moses; also Penrith have lost players but also do not seem to have the issue with juniors that we have.

  •  Isaac Moses has been and will be a cancer to the game.

If we ca off load Sivo asap that would be for the best as for Blayze I think he will stay

    • If offloading Sivo would be for the best, who replaces him?

      • Probably shift Russell back to wing or maybe even Blaize when Gutho is back. Good way to get first grade exp in and not as physical.
