This is an email conversation, I had with Super re asking for anything people would like to donate towards Sir Col's memorial, he will not be having a funeral.
Now I am somewhat embarrassed putting this up with Sir Col still active on the site, but knowing how Col is a realist and his enjoyment with his interaction with people on here has raised his spirits enormously....... Please stress this is not a money or donation gathering exercise .......just any memoribillia that you may have you are prepared to let go..... I know some people can have more than one of the same thing. I would be proud to display same at this memorial and it would be handed over to his family afterwards as a keepsakes of his memory.
If you do have anything suitable, just let Super know and he can forward an address to send it to. I will probably get you to send to my address, as I will be setting up the display.

So, I'm fine with you asking donations for something to display and leave with Col's family.
In terms of banners, I don't have any and I'm not aware of any. Fuuuuuui however is a graphic designer and has done some design work for the site in the past. So you could ask him for a hi-resolution design that could then be printed at Officeworks or something.

Not sure if you can help me at all. I was talking to Col and Adrianna a couple of days back and they asked me if I was willing to decorate the space where the memorial will be held with some EEls gear etc.
My question is if I went on the site and asked for any donations suitable for displaying and leaving with Col's family, do you think it creates a bad precedent or does one eyed eel have any banners ect in their own right. I am happy to pay up to a couple of hundred dollars for an item/s that gives us an appropriate effect.
The followinging would have been about a metre square from memory.

Well this has really given me a lump in my throat . Someone who I always made sure I read his comments as soon as I saw his name above them . Cant remember who was here first but I do know as long as I can remeber Col was always one of my favourite posters . The amount of respect I've had for Col over the years , far exceeds what you'd expect to have for someone you've never met or spoken to in person .
if you manage to read this Col, I just want to say thank you for the years of your wit , interlect and humour .

Thanks Fuii, anything you think is appropriate, say like your banner on the one eyed eel site. If you do something I will take it to office works and get it blown up...... will they be able to do a say 70" TV size for example?
Any other ones you may have I 'll I will downsize them accordingly as befits the room.....which I haven't seen or even the layout of same yet.
Just thinking is it possible to get a wall sized screened Banner with Sir Col the Mushroom and his beloved One Eyed Eels or something to that effect....... I am more than happy to pay for this, if it is possible. Let me know and give Super your bank details and I will send whatever it costs through to you straight away. If you need anything up front, just let me know. Super has my phone number as well.
