I have been struck by the lack of any interest in the media of the flooding of the new stadium. Zilch as far as I have seen. I was down at the leagues club today collecting my winnings on my weekend bets on Keno. I took the advantage of leaving the leagues club to interrogate a chap who looked that he was a worker on the stadium. I asked him if the stadium was still flooded. He delayed answering for a second or two but then said: Yes, pretty much so. I took his delay to mean he did not want to talk about the stadium, so I left it That was almost the same response I received yesterday from a hardhat-wearing worker who only answered yes when I asked if the stadium was flooded. He gave me the distinct impression that he was a psychopath who was irritated by my question. This has led me to wonder if all the workers have been told to say nothing about the flooding. Of course, telling a covey of construction workers to say nothing is seeking the impossible. But why the lack of interest by the media? I think it could political. The state government is building these stadiums to get itself reelected. That is why the opening date is aimed for April just before the election. Any delay would not be countenanced by the government. But the best planes of mice and men count for nothing when it comes to climate. The Sydney Morning Herald today say that we are in for another week of rain! Not good news for the stadium and I speculate for the government. I wonder what the flooding will have on the foundations of the stadium? I would say with a high probability that the foundations would not be affected. However, I would say with certainty that the flooding would do no good to anything, the foundations included.

MukAre you on crack?
1. The construction workers are probably buggered and tired from working all day, and are not in the mood for a dole bludger asking them whether the project is delayed, flooded etc.
2. Flood = NORMAL (people made it clear on the other blog)
3. Really, a conspiracy theory about making sure all employees on site don't speak? Dude, how they going to control over 100 employees on site?
4. No media attention? Wasn't their an article just the other day showing the aerial view of the flood?
5. All they do have to do is pump it back out.
Quit the crack, find a job.
Bwhahahaha!!! one of your best Rob, i always enjoy your blogs that search deeper for the truth, this is brilliant.
Id like to see you up your blog rate to AT LEAST one a week, im dead serious.
Should be Silence of the Construction Workers.
MontoEel: Touche!
It rains, stuff gets wet. Could it be the media's not interested because it's not interesting.
The Ape : It could be that the media realizes that the story is too deep--no pun intended-- for people on this site. By their work they reveal themselves. By the way, I had quite a return on Keno.
There's no interest because it is a non story
I ate his liver.
Robert stop that! The hammer is innocent.
