If you listen to him speak when he was with Denan Kemp, he seems to not take getting dropped well. He seems to lose passion quite easily. I mean a few people do, but seems Ryles has dropped him and this was the final straw for him in terms of he wanted to continue.
I mean, this would've been Shaun Lanes call, but after being dropped this weekend, perhaps it has also come from a conversation with Ryles?!

It appears that way NOS, Ryles is a clever operator
Lane especially is a liability, the speed of the game has passed him by - this is great news it appears they been told to look elsewhere, our salary cap is in good shape. I think talk talk of 3/4 year rebuild doesn't wash - Ryles is one step ahead and I'm expecting a few really good signings to be announced mid season. I really like the direction we are heading
"It's become a lot more difficult to secure outside signings especially with the bears, and later the chief's both with huge bankrolls.
We should be going hard for lesser likes like Lindsay Smith and Liam Henry who as the panthers usually prefer…"

He is someone that plays with no passion or desire anymore. Seems like someone probably wants to leave the game

I think Shaun Lane took an indefinite hiatus from the game about 12 months ago, EA.
But, in all seriousness, all the best to him. The game is obviously no longer enjoyable & good on him for accepting it & moving on.
Not wrong there lol but he wasn't the only one
Haha very fair, he's been on a sobatical with half the team.
Lol NOS agree mate he checkout a while ago
Mick, Jo O & now Lane, Ryles clearing the decks?

The players leaving i hope there is a few good signing
But there is one player i like to leave us at end of the year is Paulo he to old and slow for NRL
He has been our best forward so far this season Arnold. Name me a better one? Maybe Hopgood?
You could argue of course that Lomax has been our best forward (work rate).
