With Parramatta needing 3 wins from their last 5 games to make the finals, it's going to take something special to end our 4 year finals drought.
Today, in a humiliating loss against the Warriors, the Raiders have lost both Shaun Fensom and David Shillington for the season. While I don't usually cheer when players are injured, this is excellent news for us. With 2 games against the Raiders before the seasons end, we are the winners in this situation.
Shaun Fensom is everything to the Raiders middle defence and David Shillington often tops the stats for Canberra in runs taken and metres made. I expect them to struggle without their 2 biggest work horses.
Throw in Ricky Stuart as coach, and we're set to chalk up 2 wins against the Raiders, meaning only 1 win is required from the other 3 games, which are: Manly (Pirtek), Bulldogs (ANZ) and Knights (Newcastle)

Yeah, Mitchell Cornish is a solid young half and I'd back him to outplay Campese
Shillo was about the only forward having a dig before he got injured, Fensom is a huge loss.
If we are serious we should really put a score on them.

It's hard to not be optimistic. The Raiders are looking truly awful and as you say those are going to be massive losses to them. We've come up trumps have two games against them at this stage of the season. And if Newcastle were hanging on to mathematical reasons to think they could finish in the eight, thats gone to now - even if they won all of their last five they wouldn't get into the eight with their for and against.
Im hoping Norman does to
Man usually I would think, a team after that loss will bounce back so don't be to confident. But honestly Canberra players in Darwin heat, half there work horses gone, Ricky Stuart as coach. We should easily put 50 on them.
I think we just need to start the game smart not try to throw it around early, smash them up the middle and complete our sets and the points will just pour on.
Hope our team doesn't have that mindset otherwise could be beaten. Got to expect a tough game & points will flow.
Also wouldnt it be nice to put history against the Raiders, what is the biggest score against them? I would love to see Stickys press conference after
Biggest score they've beaten us...68-0 in 1993. Not sure bet I'm assuming pRicky played that game. That should be our target.
